These act as hubs from which Spyro can travel to other levels similar in appearance via numerous portals. As in previous games, there are still some Thieves whom Spyro must chase down to retrieve the items that they stole. There are six Homeworlds in the game. The place also has higher-ranked Thieves, Greta and Master Thief, both of whom wear purple robes. They can be found loitering throughout the various realms, although many of them are found in the Thieves' Guild, which serves as a school for young, green-robed Thieves. In Spyro: Attack of the Rhynocs, like in Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly, Thieves return as friendly inhabitants. All Thieves can be found in challenge portals, where they run around, carrying a firefly in a brown sack. Thieves return in Spyro 2: Season of Flame, and act similar as in Spyro: Season of Ice. Spyro first encounters one in Market Mesa. In this game, Thieves are colored light blue. In Spyro: Season of Ice, Thieves act the same as in the PlayStation games, although they run around with a crystallized fairy. The Thieves either dropped the eggs, or kept them and hid throughout the realms. In Spyro: A Hero's Tail, Red hires a gang of blue-robed Thieves to steal 80 Dragon Eggs from Mrs. There are also red-clothed, jester-like varieties lurking throughout the Dragon Realms, who must be chased and attacked in order to give up the loot that they have stolen. The blue-robed varieties reside in the Thieves Den, and are noticeably smaller than the Thieves seen in Spyro the Dragon and Spyro: Year of the Dragon. Thieves still give off their signature chant. In exchange for helping them, the Thieves allow Spyro to recover any gems that they have stolen from the Dragons recently. They seek Spyro's help in clearing out the Riptocs from the Thieves Den, which is their residence. In Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly, unlike earlier games, Thieves appear as a friendly species. Thieves also appear in the Super Bonus Round, although they carry high amounts of Gems instead of Eggs. Moneybags is shown to have taken a liking towards the two Thieves found in the Supercharge Challenge Portal in Molten Crater. Spyro encounters red, blue, and yellow Thieves along the way, and like in Spyro the Dragon, Spyro must chase down the Thieves to retrieve a Dragon Egg from them. Thieves reappear in Spyro: Year of the Dragon, in which they serve under the Sorceress. Several of them also wield scimitars and shields, and attempt to attack Spyro directly, although they are far slower than their running comrades. These thieves wear yellow robes and orange turbans, and try to keep the three magic lamps away from Spyro. The Thieves are conspicuously absent from Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage!, although a very similar variant appears in Shady Oasis. Many varieties of Thieves appear in Gnasty's Loot, including ones that ride a plane, Plane Thieves. In the Gnasty Gnorc boss realm, there are two Thieves, each of whom are carrying a key required to reach Gnasty Gnorc. In Tree Tops, there is both a Green Thief and a Red Thief, and each of them carry a purple gem. They are fast, but Spyro's charging speed is just slightly faster, and they will fall easily after being charged or flamed once. The Thieves make their first appearance in Spyro the Dragon, where they constantly taunt Spyro and try to keep the Dragon Eggs out of his grasp as he makes his way through the Dragon Worlds.
